In today’s environment, most training programs lay undue emphasis on rote learning rather than concept understanding. At ACE, the emphasis is first and foremost on understanding the concept. The theory behind the concept is first explained in detail and students are then exposed to a variety of problems and questions based on the concept. At the end of each lecture, homework is given to the students to help them internalize the concepts taught. The next day, the lecture commences with the doubt session where difficulties in the assignment are clarified.
TESTING PROGRAM:
When a unit is completed in a subject, a test is conducted the following week. There is one test each week in each subject by rotation. The test pattern reflects the program the student is enrolled in. The IIT and AIEEE test comprise of more Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Numerical Problems while the CBSE tests comprise of more theory questions. A solution to the test is provided immediately after the test. Test papers are graded and returned to the students usually within two weeks.
FEED BACK TO PARENTS:
The student performance in the weekly tests is regularly reported to the parents in the form of a report card. In addition, parent teacher meetings are held twice a year. Parents are always welcome to visit the respective center and speak to the teachers on any day. Comparative details of the performance of students at different centers is provided on our website www.ace-online.co.in . The marks list on the website is updated daily. Students are also regularly monitored and counseled by our student counselor.
