The Foundation IIT is a two-year program designed to give students of Class IX and Class X an extra edge in competitive exams. The thrust of the course is on the development of analytical skills. While the syllabus is similar to that of the CBSE, emphasis is on concept understanding and problem solving skills. After the theory in the chapter is explained it is followed by the set of conceptual questions that requires a child to ponder on the real implication of the concept. A set of problems then follow which hones the student’s application skills. Students of the Foundation IIT program will be encouraged to participate in international assessment test such as the New South Wales or National Level Assessment Tests such as the Science Olympiads.
