The IIT Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) is the qualifying exam for admission to the various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). These are the leading technological Institutes in India and are recognized both in India and abroad.
Each year three lakh students appear for the exam and about 3500 students secure admission. The test comprises of 2 sessions of 3 hours each in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together. The syllabus is similar to that of the CBSE. However, the level of difficulty of the problems is very high and a student needs great conceptual clarity to excel in this test. Since the new format comprises of only Multiple Choice Questions, Students are exposed to this exam format right from the beginning.
The all India percentage of success in IITJEE is about 1.5%. Each year at ACE, around 25% of our students qualify in this exam.
COURSE DURATION:
The IITJEE coaching is for a period of 2 years. Students who have completed 10th standard/SSLC will be eligible for admission to the program. Direct admission is given to limited students who are in the top 5% of their class and to those who have qualified in the State round of the NTSE exam. Admission to the ACE programs at all centers including Deeksha Pre University College is through interviews conducted every Saturday / Sunday in the months of December and January. Admissions can also be secured through a common entrance exam held in the last week March.
RECENT RESULTS:
IIT-JEE 2007:
In the IITJEE 2007, the Joint Entrance Exam for admission to the IITs, 29 students secured ranks and 18 students secured extended ranks (IIST), out of 124 students including ranks 454(SC), 611, 775, 968 and 998.
IIT-JEE 2006:
In the IITJEE 2006, the Joint Entrance Exam for admission to the IITs, 31 students out of 102 secured a rank in the main exam including ranks 153, 214, 369, 387, 591 and 785.
